user73Compared to other Cherry clones (and Cherrys), the pins are a little thinner. If you already have a keyboard with hotswappable Outemu switches, then you'll need these. Or you can go switch by switch and file down the pins on other switches.
user73I believe that all Outemu switches have skinnier pins than that of Gateron switches. If your keyboard already has Outemu switches then any of these should work just fine.
I need these badly as I have an E-Element Z-88 mechanical keyboard with blue Outemu switches, I would like to buy the brown Outemu switches as the blues are too loud for my taste but I don't want to have to pay full price for a new keyboard that has quieter switches. I love the keyboard and the RGB lights but the noise is the only problem I have. Please, I need these...
Jimmy_SkimmyHow is the quality of the E-Element Z-88? I have the Z-77 and I'm happy with it. I'm looking for a TKL keyboard with a detachable power cable but I prefer rgb.
Six00kLooking at the picture provided. It looks like these switches have a pass through for lighting. Look at the pics and you will see an open gap where your leds will be.
Actually, I also have the Kailh Coppers, that's how they're supposed to be. Copper, Bronze and Silver actuate at 1.1mm, the Gold's (Clicky) actuate at 1.4mm.
pattmynThe click is much crisper in Outemu switches than Cherry or Gateron blues.
It's the same with the Outemu teal switches compared to Cherry Green and Gateron Green, the Outemu switches are really nice, very crisp switches.
pattmyn*EDIT: Does NOT look like their SMD Compatible. My b.*
I believe the ad says their SMD Compatible. I actually really like the feel of the Outemu Blues. I've never used any other blue switches, but I like them more than Razer Greens personally, and more than Gateron Browns (which is what's in my current keyboard while I decide what I like best).
I would check Input.Club for force curves and stuff. It seems Gateron switches have a tendency to be inconsistent. By all accounts, the Outemu Blue's are a very decent cherry clone.
