Illuminate your path with these compact headlamps from Petzl. The lightest of the bunch at less than an ounce, the e+Lite is a favorite of ultralight backpackers—and it’s great to have around in case of emergencies, too Read More
If I'm backpacking, going on a night run, or working on my car I always grab my Tikka. Its probably the best headlamp I have ever owned. It stays in place, battery last a long time, and has lasted through some abuse. I have owned my Tikka for about 2 years now and would buy another one in a heartbeat. The core battery is still my original one and has worked flawlessly.
Massdrop needs to do a drop for the CORE rechargeable battery pack that works with these lights!
I am fairly new to the site. Does any one know how to suggest a drop to the company?
Here is a link to the product on Amazon but surely Massdrop can do a better price: https://www.amazon.com/Petzl-Rechargeable-Battery-Compact-Lamps/dp/B01L328L72
Basically I could spend $8 more including Seattle sales tax and grab one locally today rather than wait weeks. This is a decent drop but no major deal here.
I have one of the older e+Lites, and like @mkt42, it's one of my favorite pieces of gear. Super easy/intuitive to use, with little chance it'll get turned on accidentally in my pack. I take it on any hike where there's even a chance I'll get stuck out overnight, and I actually took it as my primary headlamp on a couple of trips this summer. I wouldn't plan to navigate trails or climbs with it (I'd prefer a stronger beam), but it's plenty strong around camp and adequate for navigating in a pinch. I also like the red beam for astronomy/astrophotography.
Showing three different versions, but only selling two? The price of the e+Lite is a bit cheaper than other places, but the price of the Tikka is more than just about everywhere else. Need to work on the descriptive and picture content, or better yet create a template for the manufacture/seller to complete and then post their information - that will get Massdrop out of the item content description business. Incorrect content and descriptions have become a real problem with Massdrop and unless the buyer is really careful they won't be getting what they think they are based on just the pictures and short descriptions. Do what you do best, get good deals and join buyers with product.

SquirrelsWhere did you find the Tikka cheaper? Because I haven't.
