Product Description
With these Bluetooth cables from PlusSound, you can turn any IEM or headphone with removable cables into a Bluetooth device. They can drive IEMs with two-pin and MMCX connections (like the Massdrop x Noble X and Massdrop x NuForce EDC, respectively), along with full-size headphones like the Massdrop x Sennheiser HD 6XX and the Massdrop x HIFIMAN HE4XX planar magnetics Read More
It works, but the cable is kind of stiff and doesn't wrap around my ears very nicely. In addition having the module on one side makes it imbalanced, so it doesn't stay on my head very well. Nowadays you can get essentially the same thing from MEE for a fraction of the price, or just get Sony WF1000XM3s for the cost of this plus a midrange IEM
This product is one of the most stupidest products I ever bought ...
1) the remote + and - are revered when you wear the cable ;
2) the cable is too short ;
3) the remote is bulky ;
4) the amp is hissing like hell ;
5) the bluetooth stability is really bad.
6) you have to keep pushing the button for 6 seconds to shut off the system.... 6 REAL SECONDS ... what were they thinking.
Pro : sound is pretty good and the amp is powerful. So I give one star.
I also got a simple low cost BT iems system I paid $15 and the sound is good, the BT antenna is good, the remote is slim, the buttons are in the right order and I have to push the button for 3 seconds to switch off the system, which is the RIGHT choice.
Plussound made a pretty terrible product, I hope they will fix their mistakes in a new version and upgrade the old cable for free !
Using it with iSine 20. This thing is amazing, definitely a must buy if you plan to go outside with your headphones and they support removable cables. :)
Really wanted to love this cable but my specific experience with JH Audio CIEMs has been poor.
1. Noise: The JH Audio CIEMs are sensitive and I experience some degree of white noise with most audio sources. Subjectively the white noise when no music is playing is four times as loud as when connected via wire to my 2014 Macbook Pro. Not ideal, but I could live with this.
2. Fit: This is what makes the cable unusable to me. Likely specific to my CIEMs and fit, these cables leave a small gap between the headphones and the cable. If oriented inward, there is also a screw that can dig into your head. I turned the cable around and resolved this issue but the gap remains. This gap rests against the side of my head and due to the sharp edge, is painful over time. The cable that I ordered is fabric wrapped and perhaps I should have anticipated this, but is larger than the standard audio cable. The thicker cable leads to a more awkward fit overall in comparison to the stock cable and a surprising amount of microphonics.
3. Audio quality: As expected the bluetooth module is not as good as a wired connection - this was expected.
All of these factors result in a cable that I can't use and since it was purchased from Massdrop, they cannot be returned. An expensive and unfortunate mistake on my part.
Solid bluetooth cable. Been using it (the Echo series) with Massdrop NuForce EDC3 IEMs for a couple of days and haven't noticed any drops in sound quality, it's excellent. The connection did stutter once or twice when I kept my phone in a front jeans pocket while walking, but has been rock-solid since then. The wire is quite a bit thicker than the one that came with the IEMs which made it a little uncomfortable to wear them at first (since the wire goes around and behind the ear) but I seems to have gotten used to it and it doesn't bother me anymore. The wire could also be a little shorter IMO.
Overall, I am pretty happy with the purchase. It's a little overpriced if you ask me but hey, what isn't in California? :)
I especially enjoy the sound quality so much that I won’t be looking for any other IEM. Just the right combination of bass for me, mids are present enough, and highs are controlled. The fit could not be an more perfect. Totally satisfied with the Massdrop Plus!
