Knife is very solid and definitely feels great in your hand. Takes some effort to open originally but with use and familiarity its a nice tool when you need to use it and draws the admiring eye of others when they see its titanium frame.
There is little to say about this knife that hasn't already been said. Its a stellar example of form and function. The action did take a bit of work to wear in but now its exemplary.
I was able to disassemble it today. The pivot is free spinning... And given that I had applied loctite initially it was a pain to get back apart. Electrical tape did the trick. The bottom screw had a fair bit of loctite from the factory. Once opened I was able to get it clean of the lubricant they used. The lube from the factory is garbagey black grease. 5 weight Nano-oil works well with the weight of the blade. The action upon reassembly is just as good if not better. I suspect it will get better after the lube settles in.
The design is gorgeous but it clearly isn't intended for disassembly.
Slim profile, comfortable shape, great deep cary pocket clip with a nice amount of flex, strong detent to avoid partial opening and flips like a beast. Great folding knife.

I had the same experience as reviewers below. My pivot was NOT loc-tited shut, so maybe this was someone else's return. When I opened it up I found extensive rust on the washers/runs on both surfaces. There was also some contact rusting transferred to the scales. I cleaned it up a bit but it's still really gritty on closing. Hopefully MD will replace with some better stock or refund me.
**UPDATE** MD offered my choice of a partial refund or full refund. Excellent customer service is much appreciated!
Pivot and washers are cheap, has a weak detent which makes for so-so action. Lot of gunk inside the frame. Very disappointed and will not be ordering from MassDrop in the future.
Vox801Massdrop didn't make the knife, they just sell it. I have bought 5 knives from them now, 1 had a small issue (It was made by WE) and even though it was a manufacturer issue, they sent me a brand new knife and payed for me to send the other knife back. Great customer service!
Vox801Take a look at any of the Ferrum Forge x Massdrop Collabs. All are excellent knives with an average rating of 4.6. I hope this helps, have a great day!
The pivot is hot garbage. It scratches and scrapes as you open and close it. It is pretty to look at. But that is it.
I will not be buying any more Rike knives or knives from Massdrop. This is the second time I have been dissapointed by the knife they sent.
In short stay away! You will regret yiur purchase
Just got it 2 days ago and haven't carried it yet, but I'm pretty disappointed with the hard detent. It's the hardest knife to flip open I've ever owned, and I own about 100. I'll play with the pivot and see what happens, but for that money I would prefer it being perfect from the git go. It IS pretty, though, which is why I bought it.
Great looking but too stiff, I almost never flip it open 100%
I'm pretty sure I'm having the same issues others commented but I'm not disasembling my knife to find out, I'm still too noob for that.
If I lived in the US I would have returned it, but that was too long ago, glad it's sharp and beautiful, I'm gonna keep it

Cferrer1983 Hello, I just realized that my reply is two years late, oh well.
For myself, I follow a procedure if I don't want to disassemble a knife. As a note, make sure any handle material on your knife will stand up to any chemicals you use.
I blow out the pivot with canned air or a compressor. Then add a little WD-40 and work the blade open and closed for a while. Then I blow out the mess, and repeat. Next I use 91% rubbing alcohol. I apply it and blow it out several times. At this point it's about as clean as it gets without disassembly. Apply the lube of your choice liberally. Work the knife for a bit then wipe off the excess.
Your knife should work better now👍
