does MD offer knives with anything but S35VN or cheapo $20 knives? It’s played out and that steel is not that good these days. Time for something with Bohler M390, or CTS-xhp or Maxamet!! Tired of the S35VN offerings

Alloy me to retort. I steel believe I’m corretc, but to forge ahead, let’s just agree on this. For quality knives, S35VN is fairly middle of the road these days. I’d like to see other options, brah. :)

With Rike's recent unrepentant ripping off of a Justin Lundquist design (not the first time they've done something highly similar to an existing design) and them doubling down by joking about it on instagram while blocking those who brought up the issue... it will be a long time before I ever consider buying one of their knives.
If they are going to act like a high end Ganzo, I'll treat them like I do Ganzo and not buy their knives.

Like a Chinese company cares if it was illegal. It’s what they do, they steal everything and make no apologies. Having said that I like some of the knives coming from some Chinese knife makers. China hasn’t had an original thought since they build that wall. Hell even Mao was just copying Stalin and Hitler and they are back at the genocide game with their Muslim citizens. Really pretty despicable behavior, they weren’t first but they are trying hard to be the best in history. To bring it home: I didn’t know Rike was stealing designs so thanks for that information.

Here are some pics of the metal grit and wallowed out detent hole it looks like someone went at it with a diamond burr and gave up. This was after flipping it around 20 times tops. Very disappointing

I have the same issue. I sent them a message, but got a strange reply. It had 2 replies "replace a" and "ok". Not sure where to go from here. Anyone else get a reply that gives any info?

BangChainsSDI reached out to Rike yesterday on Instagram. I received a reply this morning that simply said, "let me have a look". I'm not totally clear on what they wanted but I sent them a picture.

I can find one on Gearbest and Fasttech but neither one will ship it to me in the US. Guess I'll keep an eye out.

reswrightfasttech suuucks- I actually ordered the HX Outdoor "budget thor 3" in the past from them (I'm def gonna keep using that nickname for it lol), and it was the transaction from hell...said it would arrive in 15 days, after 15 days: nothing. 30 days, nothing. 45 days, nothing. Tracking info was just stuck on "received by US postal carrier" or something like that, and when I reached out for a refund after what eventually was nearly 6 months total they simply would not admit guilt that the package never arriving was on them. It was absolutely ridiculous; I'd been speaking with cust service basically since 30 days had passed and it hadn't made it...they ultimately "refunded" me, but I had to pay for shipping (both ways to/from China) and like a $45 re-stocking fee. I was absolutely furious....they're a fucking joooke and you should literally never order a thing from them, bc if it makes it then cool w/e that's great but if you ever have to deal with their customer service you're going to go through the better half of a year arguing back and forth with somebody who's so unhelpful + clueless they may as well be from another planet. -2 out of 5 stars. hahah

just got mine today and I'm very disappointed. detente strength is absolutely ridiculous, to the point where i would call it a serious quality control issue. I have an extremely hard time opening one handed, and even using both hands to get a good grip (not touching lock bar) its still very hard to open. blade movement is very grainy. I don't think its a problem with the pivot tension as the blade moves without much resistance, just feels rough as you scissors it open and closed.
i sort of want to take it apart to see if cleaning helps, but i don't want to risk voiding warranty. for the moment i'm just trying to work the action to see if it loosens up.

I had an issue like this with a ZT0560 and I gently, key word gently, pulled the lock bar away from the knife to adjust the tension. Also depending on how you flip, you have to learn how to flip without pushing the frame lock down to hard. Good luck!

Im pissed cause i like the knife so much besides for the horrible action. as far as aesthetics and feel in hand i would take this knife over anything else out there. too bad the function is such a miserable failure.

Mine has terrible detent. I can only get it to flip open once out of every 6 or 7 tries and that's after I almost tear off a finger nail. I have taken the knife apart and cleaned/oiled it but it did not help.

TeetoWe are looking into the issue with the manufacturer. If anyone received a defective knife they can reach out to our customer service team and we will refund their purchase. We sell thousands of knives from multiple suppliers and unfortunately factory defects can and do happen. In those cases we will do our best to remedy the situation.

Suppose I'll give it a go. Ordered purple/blue but kinda like the blackwash version as well. Tough decision; still have time before the drop ends to finalize.
