I'm pretty much set on getting one of these next time I have a spare 300. If we can get this drop online again, lets do so...

Why does the frequency range only go up to 16kHz? That bothers me... Should it not?

keviforniaA neumann u47 has the same range, also if you check the graph of the actual u87 it rolls off from 16khz also, as most of the mics with a k47/67 style capsule does. So nothing to worry about.

Just noticed this new review from Tape Op:
"The Roswell Mini K47 is one of the best utility mics I've used. It sounds great on a number of sources, fitting them perfectly into a mix. It takes EQ well (when needed), and it seems happy to do anything you ask it to do. $299 for a mic of this quality is beyond fair — it's a steal. "

You can get these anywhere for 250. Why order here and wait over a month?

This stuff is made by a company run by the same guy behind microphone-parts.com which is well known for making mod kits for cheaper microphones into really nice ones. This mic is basically those upgraded parts made for you, no soldering required.
It is only a single polar pattern though.
