The diffusion line of a renowned Scotland-based mill, Royal Speyside employs traditional methods and machinery to produce knitwear reminiscent of the Scottish Borders area. Which makes sense: The mill has been producing textiles here, on the banks of the River Teviot, for more than 140 years. These V-neck sweaters are made of 100 percent Australian Geelong wool. From the large version of the merino sheep found in Geelong, Australia, this is the finest lambswool, averaging about 19.5 microns. Its warmth and softness is comparable to that of cashmere. Plus, it’s lightweight, breathable, and hypoallergenic, and it won’t produce static electricity.
