This is for live audio and theater style you would need a pack to send the signal (http://en-us.sennheiser.com/wireless-microphone-transmitter-bodypack-sk-100-g3) to the soundboard and a receiver at the board (http://en-us.sennheiser.com/microphone-audio-receiver-frequencies-em-100-g3) I'm pretty sure the belt pack has phantom power it requires either a 9v or 2 AA batteries I'm pretty sure you can't plug this into a phone nor would it be worth the hassle
