It may be small, but Skyloong’s new SK64 optical-switch keyboard is stacked with a long list of performance features. First up are the optical switches, which use light (rather than metal and electricity) to detect actuation. The benefits? Speed and lifespan. Optical switches typically have faster response times than their mechanical cousins—and unlike metal pins, light doesn’t deteriorate. The SK64 also features hot-swappable switch sockets, so you can change your optical switches without soldering. With a compact 60-percent layout complete with arrow keys, the SK64 has the buttons you need, and none of the ones you don’t. Outfitted with a USB-C connection and a per-key RGB PCB, each board is fully programmable with driver software. Choose from four different keycaps to complete your setup.
