I’m going to assume it is the daylight lamp, and add my two cents. I bought one of these in Houston a couple of years ago. I am now the subject of “light envy” when I take it to retreats. It does an amazing job of filling my workspace with bright white light.
A feature you may not know is that it pops apart into pieces; the light bar and the main part of the light structure snap together, the lamp pops into the table clamp, and the power cord pops into the connector near the base. I actually keep it in a plastic artist tube intended for transporting rolled drawings. The only addition I made was to purchase a pipe insulation sleeve that I cut to the length of the light bar so I don’t have to worry about it getting scratched or broken.
the Daylight company is very responsive to service inquiries as well. I damaged the power cord to my wafer light,a and was at a loss as to determining how to replace it. After I confirmed the serial numbers and purchase, the sent me a replacement free!

I screw mine to the side of the table, I don’t mind that there’s no base, I need the space for quilting supplies.

I love these lights, own 3 of them in my sewing room. My nail place has them over each station. Great for night sewing or on a gloomy day.

What's the CRI rating for this lamp? I can't find that info anywhere; combined with the "Daylight" language everywhere, I'm inclined to believe that these will be absolutely horrible for actually seeing the color of things.

arithonJust what I was going to ask! My current light for the piano looks horrible and irritating and I suspect it’s due to the low CRI.

Has anyone used this lamp on a grand piano?

argilmorethat what I’d like to use it for. I’m hoping it has a high enough CRI that it can be used. The description doesn’t give enough information unfortunately.

dan-themanHi, Dan, I saw and measured this lamp last Nov at the Houston Quilt Festival, and while height didn’t seem to be a problem, I decided the lamp wasn’t long enough to sufficiently cover the music rack. I ended up going with a music desk mounted piano lamp from Cocoweb.
