Hope someone can find & share a manual. My first and very limited impression of SmartDuck XS87... I like it a lot. The Outemu Blues are surprisingly pleasant. I have not experimented with RGB effects, I prefer solid color options and there seems to be seven of them (they look great). Keycaps are decent enough, well worth the keycap/switch add-on cost. Shout out to Mediis for helping me figure out the color changing procedure, but still hoping someone will post a more complete form of user manual. Why is it so hard for these keyboard manufacturers to include a manual! Have not attempted any driver installs yet. I agree with other comments, it all looks very sketchy AND since most people are disappointed with it anyway, I'm choosing to hold off on programming features, at least until I learn more. All things considered, I still call this one a steal. A backlite, hot-swap kb is worth $60 to me. If my opinion changes, I will update.

Before the end of the latest drop for this product, there had been a discussion on whether keycaps came with the barebones version. I thought the conclusion was Yes, they did. There was even a screenshot of a response from Drop Community Support posted by a member who asked that very question. I received my order over the weekend. It included no keycaps. Has this happened to anyone? Thanks.

platyplatI got a response to a help ticket after mine also came without keycaps, the barebones version does not include keycaps.

Well, one just needs to scroll down on this page to the response WantonDumpling received from Drop Community Support to see that keycaps should have come with the barebones version. I haven't been with Drop long enough to know if there's a distinction between Drop Community Support and Drop itself, but that response looked pretty official to me. I opted to not spend $12 on Outemu switches, but I certainly would've paid $12 for switches AND keycaps (PBT, too, right?) I think Drop needs to address this, or is that expectation immediately a funny statement to long-time members?

There's no way this is the official way to get drivers or a manual. Like seriously, at least learn how to spell "First" correctly. Absolutely not going to run any of these .exes until I can find this from a much more official portal.
The keyboard types great and looks good, but good god that documentation is beyond sketchy.

It's been about five days since I received this keyboard. Personally, I love the aluminum finish as well as the open profile of the exposed switches. Now for my biggest complaint: if I type too fast, I end up with duplicate keys. Initially I thought it was because of the outemu black switches I selected, but even after switching to Zealios V2, I am still dealing with the duplicate keys. I'd rather not have to type as if this was a typewriter but iifff i go at normal speedd it endss up loookkiinnnggg like thhiis.

I just got mine. Something about it just seems off. For one thing I press the Fn key and all the keys on the main group darken except for the Super (Windows) key and the letter Y - the color of the lit keys changes to a pastel pink color. Very ugly IMO.
The effects aren't what I expected either. I have another Smart Duck keyboard (XS61) and it has all kinds of cool effects. This one just has different kinds of glowing in and out effects and solid to rainbow color changes. There are no reactive effects like when you press keys. There is no manual and the instructions from my other Smart Duck keyboard don't really work with this one, so maybe I'm missing something. Overall it's just feature-less.
I got the brown switches and they just feel very mushy. And the audible response from them is like tapping on different pieces of wood with different thicknesses depending on which you key you're pressing. For example the spacebar is so much louder and hollower than the rest of the keys and the Backspace and Esc keys have practically no audible feedback.
I know this was only a $60 keyboard, but I've had cheaper ones that were way better feature-wise and sound-wise. The overall build just feels cheap in comparison to my XS61. In fact the XS61 is not a good indicator of what you get with this keyboard. Did I get an off product? Does everyone else's look/feel/react the same?

zatarregazaI share your complaints about the lack of any manual or documentation. I did manage to figure out FN + Delete cycles through the different reactive modes, though.
As for your other complaints, are you sure you just don't like otemnu browns? My stabilizers seem pretty good and the overall build quality feels nicer than I was expecting.
It's a hotswappable TKL keyboard with RGB, USB-C, and a brushed aluminum backplate. For $60 this feels like an absolute steal.

Ok I just received mine in the mail, and I'm going through trying to get the manual and drivers. Everywhere I go has that same google Drive link where they literally misspelled "First" on one of the file names. Any suggestions?

I'm looking at gateron switches on Drop to fill this keyboard in.
I see an option for regular gateron switches and "SMD MX" switch packs.
What's the difference? And which one fits on this keyboard?
Also, the regular gateron switches have the option of PCB mount and plate mount.
Which option fits this board?

OhdaveeDrop has terrible logistics. I paid an extra $50 to get a product earlier, only to get it two months late, and in a later shipment than people that ordered after me by over a month. I got a $10 credit for having to wait two months. Disgusting.
