Please excuse my ignorance, but what's the difference between this and the SU-8(non S) and SU-9

Looks like close to everything if we are talking internals. But I am not quite sure about sound quality, however as ex-SU8 owner and now M400 owner I will assume that sound quality will be great for money.
So:
SU8 do have dual ES9038Q2M but SU8s do have dual ES9068Q which add native MQA unfold support (and absence of MQA actually force me to move to another SMSL DAC)
SU8s do have way better XMOS chip ( USB interface and digital audio stream control) which allow to have MQA via USB.
In terms of the SNR and other technical characteristic 8s looks way better to me and could be close to SU-9.

I also wanted to know the answer so I went to https://shenzhenaudio.com/ and found that for USB, it is full decoding and for optical/coax it is rendering.

freddonahueI didn't see you mention bluetooth. So I assume if I send something from my phone to this, even if I'm playing Tidal Masters, it won't do any MQA processing on it?

Should I get a better DAC or headphone Amp? Would this be a noticeable upgrade over what I have?
Current setup:
Drop x grace standard DAC
Schiit Magni 3+ headphone amp
Drop x Sennheiser hd6xx

Digital audio is a fully solved problem, there are no audible differences between modern dacs and amps, unless you buy something so bad it intentionally distorts the sound (like a tube amp). There will be 0% audible difference between your setup and an "upgraded" dac or amp.

Other chinese DACs have a voltage selector for 110/220 options, but I can't see it on this one. Anyone knows if this will work in Europe? Thanks

Yes it does, it auto-switches from 100V to 240V. See the rear panel image, look under the power input.
