All titanium cups and bottles are junk unless their food contact surfaces are mirror-polished. Can't remove stains from matte surfaces. No detergent/soaking can help. On the other hand, polished ones are just excellent.

I have been using my ti Kanpai for about 5 years now. It’s great and if I lost it I would buy another. I also have the steel 500ml and I think it actually insulates better. Either way, the wide opening allows for a can or just dump ice in and it stays frozen for hours. Overall great.

Sure, it’s pricey for a mug, but I love the fact that it’s also a thermos and cooler. I often take mine full of coffee on hikes, and it stays plenty warm. Plus, it’s always fun to surprise friends with a cold can of beer at the end of a long hike. If you are a titanium gear nerd and love Snow Peak’s designs, get this.

First of all, I just can't justify $130 dollars for a coffee mug (which is a decent price for this particular product), but if I was gonna put down the cash, it would be on this product for sure. I am serious. I own the non-titanium version. For insulation of cold and hot beverages there is no bottle that works at the level of this one. I own several insulated mugs and bottles and the regular version of this blows them all away. I have brought hot coffee to my all day events and switched to the drinking lid 7 hours later and had hot coffee. Sometimes for an all day hike I will put a cold can of San Pelligrino limonata soda in the mug and when I get back from the hike to my car I have an icy cold beverage. The deal is though you need to switch lids. There is an insulated lid for hot products, you keep that lid on until you are ready to drink your coffee, then put on the drinking lid. For cold beverages you use a different lid and you can slide a cold can of soda inside and invert it. Holds the soda perfect and keeps it very cold. Even if you just use the drinking lid, I will tell you it keeps the coffee hot for hours. This product is amazing....if you don't mind switching lids and such. I will also say I researched this product for a while after I got my non-titanium version. The titanium version was unavailable for several years. To me if you have the cash for the best insulated, titanium bottle on the market then this is it. Glad to see they started making these again, I guess the titanium market grew enough to bring these back into production. I am hoping a stupid family member blows a wad of cash on me for my birthday and gets me this.

My 500ml Thermos flask where the cap acts as a cup weights 270g and costs $40, this weights at 204g. https://thermosmalaysia.com/product/ffm-series-ultra-light-briefcase-flask/

Ok, this thing looks exactly like what I’ve been looking for, but... $130 for a coffee mug I’ll probably end up forgetting on a bus or park bench somewhere... no thanks. Maybe Keith has a cheaper leak-proof insulated titanium option?

jspiersWith a tea infuser for less than half... But the lid doesn't fit as well, and isn't waterproof. But again, if you're using it, drinking your tea/coffee, then packing it up, or if it's standing on your desk, that's not too big a concern, is it? The volume isn't big enough that you're gonna bring it as a cup for drinking on the go anyway...
