both are brand new. I found 590 reviews (cooler/analytically sounding). Not sure if 790 worth it. I would buy 1080 instantly.

I don't see a 120/240 switch on the back next to the power supply, and in the specifications it says AC 120V 60 Hz.

Sony stuff is generally pretty decent. But I gotta be a negative nancy and point out why the chintzy connectors for all of the speaker connections except the front pair? Bummer. Also wish more AV preamps had discrete line outs for each signal. Powered speakers are more and more common.
