Still no response from mass drop. Sadness. This item is crap. My next post is is either based on a reply from mass drop, or a picture of this in the garbage.

I bought TWO of these as presents for men that are picky about quality, the description sounded so good.../they will be getting something else instead. I would be embarrassed to give these as gifts to anyone other than little kids that liked playing office.

What a piece of well constructed CRAP. It is well put together. So well, it will no open flat or foldover so that you can use the thing. You have to trim the backing of the pad so it can fit into the Folio. Which is hard to do because you are fighting the thing so keep it open to you cna insert the pad.
Did I miss these details in the description? I am so glad it was not expensive. Do not feel too bad about tossing it in the trash.
Which I will do if I do not find a message that a prepaid box is on it's way to me for a full refund.

This is the first time I've ever been disappointed in a Massdrop product. The internal structure seems to be made from a piece of thick flexible plastic. As such, it will most likely never lie flat. The worst part, which just adds insult to injury, is that a standard size legal pad doesn't fit in the "padfolio". I've participated in many Massdrops, but I'll be more cautious about what I buy in the future.

Alright.
I absolutely love the idea. I work in a casual environment and motorcycle commute around 60% of the time. I was looking for a durable, low-key way to carry some papers, a notebook and a few pens. I thought this was going to be amazing.
First-you have to trim the back of a legal pad to make it fit in the slot. It is too narrow. For something that advertises "perfectly fits an 8.5x11.5" pad this is a serious let down.
Second-the spine is so formed it won't lay flat. I have a 30lb weight on mine right now trying to see if I can flatten it out. We'll see if it works and if it does...if it will then loose the flexibility to close.
Ultimately...I bought a nearly $40 Rhodia notebook because the folio is unusable.

chadbrooksI'm right there with you. The first time I've ever been disappointed in a Massdrop product. I too bought the Rhodia notebook option. I'll use it with other things, but this is very disappointing.

Great news! The group’s order was picked up from the vendor and is now on its way to our warehouse in New Jersey. Given the tracking information provided, our warehouse team expects the shipment to come in by the end of the week and will be ready to get the order repacked and off to you as soon as it comes in.
Occasionally the shipment experiences a delay en route, but rest assured that we will keep the group updated throughout the entire process and let you know if something causes it to be set back.

It’s happening! Thanks to each of you, the drop was a success and we have contacted the vendor for the Tactical MOLLE Folio Bundle and submitted the group’s order. They are now working hard and preparing your orders for shipment to our warehouse in New Jersey, where our team will be standing by ready to break everything down into individual orders and reship them directly to you. We currently expect to have everything out of our warehouse and on its way to you by 12/21.

ReaprayGetting a bit ridiculous isn't it? I saw a pen for 75 dollars on here the other saying it was a tactical pen. It will go well with my tactical pocket calculator, tactical pencil case and tactical writing paper.

$7.50 shipping seems awfully high, no? Not to complain, as so many MD items are priced well, but at the lowest drop price of $18, having shipping add 40+% to the total kinda kills it for me.
