Never releases when I don't want it to. Lightweight and not bulky. Only issue is it can sometimes be challenging to get it to release, especially if you've just clipped your nails short.
The key on my key chain using this release kept detaching in my pocket. I tried to find out why and discovered it released when twisted. This didn't meet my expectations. I thought it would stay secure unless I pinched the opening.
I bough this because it was compact, lightweight, and relatively short in length as these things go. I use it to attach my car key, as there were frequent times when I didn't need it, but needed to bring the other keys.
It looks great and hasn't scratched, but it has not been 100% reliable. I've had a handful of times when my car key has spontaneously detached from the rest of my keyring. It seems to be more reliable if I occasionally force the prongs wider to make them latch better.
I really like this clip. It’s hasn’t really shown any wear even though I use it basically everyday. I like to use it for easy disconnect from my car keys which are a lot bulkier. So when I need my mail keys while my car is still running or I am going on a walk and don’t need all my keys I use the clip to lighten what I’m carrying.
Total length of the main barrels put together is less than the diameter of a US Quarter (not including the split rings). The lock notches are positive and very secure, though this could just be the fact that its basically brand new at this point. Because of the amount of force needed to disconnect the two halves I would suggest its main use on your key ring as something that is not disconnected/reconnected on a regular basis (although with titanium's flexibility might change), but rather on something that only occasionally needs to be disconnected (I.e. car keys for valet).
Really nice clip, as youd expect for the price. Probably something to do with it being machined titanium in all. Definitely a good product, but terrible value for the money all things considered...
