I'm interested in how the trackpoint on these boards feels compared to modern Thinkpad trackpoints. I found out the hard way that not all trackpoints are created equal: I have a Unicomp Endurapro with a trackpoint that has an enormous amount of "throw" - it's almost like a mini-joystick instead of the precise navigation you get from a Thinkpad. It travels so much that it can actually get caught on the neighboring keys.
Honestly, if the Ergodox supported a trackpoint, I don't think I'd ever need to consider another keyboard. As amazing as this board appears, I don't think I can justify the cost for this one since I've really come to enjoy the Ergodox's split keyboard layout and full on-board programmability.
I wonder if some ambitious hardware hacker will find a way to use the trackpoint unit from this in an Ergodox.... *scratches chin*
edit: it appears that this board is more programmable than I thought
