Have had nothing but trouble with this. i Bought a different brand and it works great. Not a great purchase for me, sadly.

Crappy dock, keeps disconnecting during file transfers. Apparently a very common problem with these docks. Do NOT buy.

Drive is all plastic housing but is exactly what you see. The power button is convenient and acts as a drive activity light as well. Speed is as advertised.

Causes Linux machines to boot loop when plugged in. Using and swapping drives was inconsistently detected. How ever it worked fine when just plugged into a Windows machine without making too many drive swaps.

Does not connect consistantly nor does it always allow 2 drives at the same time. Not impressed.

Works as advertised! But very frill-free. I am only using mine for formatting donated drives that I get, so if the speed of the connection is something you're looking for it's not an aspect I can speak to. The eject buttons are a bit superfluous; I can tell what they're trying to do with them, but they're not fantastic. Build quality is solid, but understandably built to cost. Only other nag I have is that the USB plug in the back sticks out really far and looks like the socket doesn't seat correctly, but I've not seen any loss in function or loss of connection during use.
Affordable and utilitarian, gets the job done without being an eyesore!

Very convenient for evaluating hard drives or for transferring information to a bare drive. No problems with it and provides fast transfers.
