The Vargo BOT 700 is made with the solo hiker in mind. A smaller version of the company’s popular 1-liter original, this titanium cooking pot can also be used as a backup water bottle, measuring cup, mug, bowl, storage vessel, and container for presoaking dehydrated and freeze-dried meals. Equipped with a watertight screw-top lid, it allows you to decrease fuel usage and the time you spend cooking (and waiting for) meals. Just add your meal and the necessary amount of water about an hour before you get to camp. Then once you’re there, fire up the stove, flip the lid into cooking mode, and you’re ready to go.
Note: The lid must be unscrewed while cooking to release pressure buildup and avoid serious injury.
Measuring 4.7 by 4.1 inches, this 700-milliliter vessel fits comfortably in the bottle pocket of most backpacks—and at just 4.4 ounces, it won’t weigh you down when you’re on the go. The biocompatible titanium construction features foldaway handles, 100-milliliter graduated measurements, and a temperature-resistant silicone O-ring on the pot lifter-compatible lid. The wide mouth is large enough to fit a hand for easy cleaning, and can accommodate a fuel canister or Nalgene bottle when you need to save space in your pack.
Weight, lid: 1.4 oz (40 g)
