Have just bought a Hifiman HE560 ... they quote 42oms but are notoriously difficult to drive (many blogs and YouTube reviews also confirm this) Would this be powerful enough for the HE560's - Looking for more power than my Magni 3 has Magni 3 is OK driving HE4XX & HD6XX and both are fine with that but the (4Watt) Magni almost goes into clipping to get a higher volume on the HE560. Any help appreciated. Looks a great buy but must have the power.

bipolarmanThe planar cans won't be terribly happy with this amplifier as they generally require a lot more current than this amp can push. They'll make sound, but it'll be fairly thin, lacking impact. You'll want to stick to cans with 150Ω or greater impedance with the TA-03S (and generally most single triode output cathode follower OTL amplifiers). The HD6XX works wonderfully with this amp though.
