Some may think it's pointless to have more than one amp or one DAC.... but I think it's fun to experiment with the different sound profiles that they can produce... sometimes I'm in the mood for LCD-2s + Jotunheim w the balanced DAC and sometimes the T1 (2nd gen) + the Darkvoice and Multibit is my mood.

So, we know where we can start from.
Posting any comments in Drop audiophiles page is a quite sensitive challenge.
Because, every time when getting a new headphone you establish a new emotional connection to each particular cans. And it leads us to the personal feelings area.
People who have a few hi-end gears, has started this journey long time ago, sacrificing a lot of things they can actually afford for the same amount of money. Not including the spent time, efforts for AB testing, research, financial preparation etc. Most of them had started from cheap more affordable gears, and slowly upgraded and built this relation in emotional way to a new gears, which they try to represent in posted pictures.
When I see the posted pictures, I can feel the emotions what these people experiencing from that gears. Which is very noticeable in comments from the different people too. While others, only can see the value of these gears, and posting the comments, which are contradicting with respect to the other person feelings, without understanding it.
I will be more tolerant to headphone beginners to share my experience in headphones even in simple obvious questions, than see the disrespectful (trolling) comments. So, I step up.
Explaining the feelings, what is driving you for a new cans is very difficult task.
It is the same as to explain to deaf people what is music is, or to blunt person about the color differences.
You should get this feeling as you already have HD6XX. Some people can not get it at all. It is the same as some people can not sing a song, because they do not have sense of music. If you still did not, better to stay with your laptop collection (no offence).
Speaking of the feeling: I will put below the picture from my tube collection for La Figaro 339, and you will see the reaction of other people and their emotions. When for you, may be it will be again: another amount of money. Because Tung Sol 5998 does not say to you anything, just you don't get it.

DenonFanboyIt took me so long to understand the tubes (around 20 years). Finally I have got it. Then, after that I have ordered La Figaro 339 (around 6 months ago). It is my first full tube headphone amplifier. And I am addicted with tubes now. This is only one out of three boxes with tubes just for La Figaro 339. I think I am set up for the next 10 years of tube rolling.

In modern live the availability of Hi End audio gears is broadly available with competitive price, even immigrant students working as part time job can afford to buy LCD or Focal headphones and enjoy the music rather than create an negativity.

Will there be a 4 pin XLR balanced cable available for this?
Alternatively, if I were to order one from another company, would I want a single sided cable, TRRRS (4 pole?) 2.5mm to 4 pin XLR?
It's important for me to get it right, as my main amp (Nitsch DSHA-3FN) is balanced only, and any mis-wiring of the cable could short out the amp! That would not be good...

Ringing in PC38X's
I recently got this headset, and wow is it good. My only issue is when certain people talk on discord, I can hear a really high pitched ringing. I fiddled with a bunch of settings, computer audio and discord, and nothing seems to solve the issue. It is primarily if not all in my right ear only. Is there something wrong with my headset, or was that ringing always there I can just hear it cause the headset is THAT good? I haven't had any issues with any other application, though I have yet to test if I can hear the ringing on a different version of discord, say on my xbox instead of my pc. Only other issue I've had is occasional static, but I can't tell if it's from the headset or the show/game/etc.

Sennheiser PC37X randomly goes bad after disconnecting the cable ?
Greetings, Yesterday I was using my headset like normal with my macbook, just listening to music and on a call with people like usual, and the headset was perfectly fine. The stock wire that came with the headset is extremely long and yesterday it annoyed me very much that it kept getting tangled with itself, so I decided to see if the cable is replaceable. I pulled out the cable from the headset and saw the adapter, and looked online for a replacement. Upon plugging it back in, the audio sounded extremely muffled and washed out. Im not sure what I did wrong to make it mess up like that as I've always taken good care of it, ive had it for about 2 years and its always just been chilling on my desk, but anywho I thought the cable just went bad and ordered a replacement. The replacement came, and the issue is still persistant, so I am not sure what the issue is I've tried multiple different headsets and the issue is not with the port, and I also tried it with my windows laptop and...

Recommendation for my next headphone set? I have Koss 95x
Hey all, What would you recommend I get next and why? I have Koss ESP-95x electrostatic massdrop headphones. These are my first and only audiophile set. I love them. I think my only real requirements is $500 or less for the headphones and that they have a little more low end. I don’t need thump but these are really light on lows…but the experience is still awesome. Also any recommendations on an amp? I only have my electrostatic thingy.
