I want to buy the 58x but I'm now noticing that they are not "ready to ship", does that mean that they are no longer shipped from eu and I need to take into accout also for the VAT, or is it already included in the 170$?? Also I've noticed that the shipping price in the last weeks has changed from 5$ to 15$.

How long do items normally take to be shipped to U.K.? I paid $15 on a $180 order which I don’t think is that bad tbf

erickongIncredibly disappointing news. Drop has many cool products, but with the import fees it just ain't worth it. Guess I'll be buying locally.

I have been browsing massdrop and drop for a long time but only bought something once (the HD6XX). The reason that I only bought something once is the entire process of getting it into the Netherlands. It means paying about 25% on top of the original price and waiting for customs to clear it which takes long. I and probably many like me would love a Drop location/warehouse in the EU and would have JUMPED on an opportunity like this test if I/we knew. Instead of running tests I think it would be a lot more representable to check how many sales go to the EU and decide if that number would already be profitable. If that number would be profitable or even a bit close I can imagine the EU store would blow up once here. I know that a lot of people would love Drop in the EU and love the products but simply can't afford or want to go through all the hassle of importing it and waiting several weeks. By the way I am by no means an expert in marketing, stores or anything like that and I assume a lot of research has been done beaides these 2 tests but it's hard to believe and I simply wish Drop was here. So many amazing products and reviews, it's a shame entire continents can't easily acces those.
TL;DR Love drop, wish it was in EU. Maybe checking the amount of products shipped to the EU would reflect the amount of people that want drop to come to the EU better than tests that most people aren't aware of.

Having ordered from the American site and payed stupid import fees, still works out cheaper than getting the item in the UK. Drop would take off in Europe if adverted propperly we love a good deal but sadly never heard of it till now

Work around for firmware/configuration update error "command not recognized"
I spent more than an hour attempting to update my Drop Shift keyboard. I'm not sure what has changed, but I was not able to do it entirely from the Drop website as I had previously done. I have most of the keys configured how I would like, but the default LED function was a very bright, distracting, rainbow wave going across the keyboard. Every time I turned the computer on I had to manually adjust the lights how I liked. Using the online version or the locally installed app, you first have to install the QMK XAP interface. You then have to flash your already configured firmware file, which can be done on the Drop website. If you are logged in your last configuration is saved under your account and you can alter what you like, so you don't have to start from scratch. So, following the instructions I selected the appropriate board, entered bootloader mode, but when attempting to flash the file, I would get an error that the C:/Users/Mike C..... command is not recognized...

Drop Keyboard Club Questions
Hello everyone! I'm looking to join DKC, but I have a few questions. The first day of November has already passed. Will I still get the coupon for November immediately after signing up today (Nov. 10)? What is the definition of Mechanical Keyboard products? Will the coupon apply to desk mats? I believe it should apply to everything listed under this category? For orders under $79, the coupon will be converted to a percentage discount. Will the percentage discount apply to all mechanical keyboard items in an entire order, or it can only be applied to a single mechanical keyboard item in the order? Thanks in advance!

It is applied in EU countries. Why am I being charged in USD instead of Euros? As this is a test, our system isn’t currently set up to properly support other currencies. This will not be part of a permanent solution. What’s the quantity limit for purchasing any of these products? It will actually vary per product. Sometimes the limit is 50, others the limit is 3. The quantity limits should be clear when you’re checking out. What happens if there’s a problem with my order? If you have an issue with your product or order, the process will be the same as with our other products.
