Is Drop going under?

more_vert
I seem to be getting a lot of clearance emails from Drop recently and now that they're actually selling many of their high end headphones at reduced prices along with emails saying that there are no future plans to restock (see https://www.reddit.com/r/headphones/comments/dpdjtb/psa_fostex_trx00s_on_dropcom_sorta_eol/) Either they are planning some relaunch of their headphones (which I hope is the case) or they are clearing out stock in preparation for some liquidation. I see that their daily offerings have become stale and their removal of the different communities didn't really bode well for the company. Thoughts?

Well... I know that I went from spending thousands of dollars to spending zero and haven't made a purchase in over a year. I'm just one but I have to believe that there are a lot of others who feel the way I do. MD's new management screwed the pooch bigtime. I came back today after a few months of not even thinking about MD to see if anythings changed. Nope. Are they going under? I have to think it's inevitable unless they find their way back to their core value proposition and fire whoever screwed it up.

No. Currently negotiating the purchase of Amazon (with Jeff) and BestBuy (with Corie) in a pending stock-swap/debt-purchase thing. Can't say more now (SEC is allover my phone this week). Anyway, no, MD will soon rule the world (probably by next week). Remember, you heard it here first, but YOU DIDN'T hear if from me ;- ) Hope that helps.

RayFWould be pretty great if there’s a chance they would be subsequently able to laverage EU/global Amazon logistics/warehouses.
