Work around for firmware/configuration update error "command not recognized"
I spent more than an hour attempting to update my Drop Shift keyboard. I'm not sure what has changed, but I was not able to do it entirely from the Drop website as I had previously done. I have most of the keys configured how I would like, but the default LED function was a very bright, distracting, rainbow wave going across the keyboard. Every time I turned the computer on I had to manually adjust the lights how I liked. Using the online version or the locally installed app, you first have to install the QMK XAP interface. You then have to flash your already configured firmware file, which can be done on the Drop website. If you are logged in your last configuration is saved under your account and you can alter what you like, so you don't have to start from scratch. So, following the instructions I selected the appropriate board, entered bootloader mode, but when attempting to flash the file, I would get an error that the C:/Users/Mike C..... command is not recognized...

It has nothing to do what you can spend; though I am sorry that dropping $600 on a nice set of headphones is a hardship for you. And to answer your "question", yes, get over it and quit acting like an entitled, delusional millennial. Seriously, it just sounds so hard for you to be here. It's like you've been done wrong and that your needs and desires are just not being recognized...and you deserve to be respected! You'd be much so much happier if you just pissed TF off...I mean, all that whimpering really must eat away at your self-respect quickly. I wonder if you actually used 'massdrop', particularly since your profile says you joined in 2020. You seem to think that MD was a consumers' paradise and Drop is a hellscape. If you are an attentive consumer and understand even the first thing about elementary economics, it should be obvious that the original business model was not sustainable and that the gradual changes were inevitable. You forgot to whinge about the old vs new websites too, that chestnut seems to be a hit with the kids; maybe you'd like to take some time to get that off your chest in another of your well thought out and insightful replies.
