Remember Massdrop?

more_vert
That was a good website. Drop? For me it's disappointment after disappointment. Much harder to use, fewer interesting items, lots of trash items. The idea of providing a community with the items they actually ask for seems to have been forgotten. This was a group buy site! Now it's this product spotlighted, 'curated' mess that's difficult to navigate and frustrating to buy from. When I finally get my Pandas, I'll likely never come back. It's too bad. I really loved Massdrop.

I agree the OP and the concurring comments here. I joined Massdrop in 2014 and bought a small handful of really handy items over the years that I still use today. After the site changed and we lost most of the categories and the group-buying, the items available here have been disappointing, not to mention mostly sold out. If this site continues on like this, I doubt I'll be making another purchase here. It's a shame; this was a great place full of great products and deals that seemingly benefited all parties. I will say that the Massdrop-Sennheiser headset I got two years ago has been wonderful (this site seems to want to focus on making such collaborative items), but it's odd that the entire focus of the site would switch to that.

I concur, this new site is a mess, these "communities" are annoying, its hard to find anything, and half the stuff friends tell me is listed without a direct link to it I cannot find them. Just give me the old massdrop with categories, and actually group buys..... the last thing we needed was another curated "social shopper" site that basically collects marketing data and tries to sell you anything and everything they think you may remotely be interested, but make it near impossible to find anything outside of what they think you want.

Site is rubbish, haven't bought anything in more than a year. I check in every 3-4 months not sure why I'm finally done.

I thought it was just me. The site has really gone down hill.

Seems like the same things are always shown every time I visit. The list of things that are sold out is HUGE, and available products are few. I rarely visit due to that.

"It was a good try being an internet know it all young padawan, may you find much success in assuming your opinion is always right." hahaha. Actually, it was merely a troll to get you to come back and brag-spray...a pretty effective(and OBVIOUS) one too. hahaha. zzzzzing! "It says I joined in 2020 because I made a new profile." no shit. zzzzing. hahaha. "You don't actually know if the previous business wasn't sustainable..." ...actually, I do know that the previous model was not sustainable, and so would you if you were paying attention...or if you knew what you were talking about....which you don't...young, entitled padawan. hahahahaha. For such a "wise Jedi", you sure are susceptible to mind tricks. gtfoy.

the only thing I'm surprised by is that it's still kicking and was never sold to something like Amazon. It was pretty cool for a bit, but there's no way it could have lasted. By the time 90% of the 'drops' had ended, the internet beat them. meh. So, yeah, it keeps changing. It's possibly in its death throes, or maybe about to rebrand again to OneDrop as you joked. Not sure what good whining about it does. It isn't very flattering, but I guess it makes you feel better. I don't think you quite understand what 'entitled' means.
