Is FedEx terrible for everyone, or is it just me?

So, FedEx was supposed to deliver my order from Drop today. But, just like the last time I ordered something from here (a pair of Sennheiser 6XX headphones), they marked it as delivered and it just never showed up. I figured this would happen again, so when I pre-ordered two pairs of the Sennheiser 8XX headphones I paid the extra for UPS shipping to keep FedEx as far away from them as possible. To be fair to Drop, my experience with FedEx has been awful in general. They've damaged or lost all but one package I've had delivered to my current address since moving last year. That's out of something like 10 or 20+ packages. FedEx customer service is also abysmal. The agents always give me the same line, something that boils down to: "we're not going to talk to you or take any feedback from you, only the shipper can contact us about this." Honestly it's infuriating given that the issue is clearly with whoever is handling the packages at the last step of actually delivering them. But, being as Drop helped me out with the pair of headphones that FedEx probably chucked into a ditch somewhere, I'm not too worried about it. I'm mostly just wondering if FedEx is as incompetent and infuriating for anyone else, or if that's just how they are here.

Fedex are absolutely awful -- they lost an incredibly expensive package of mine and insisted it was delivered, even after I had provided evidence that it was not.
