Fun to assemble, and even more fun to operate, the 17DOF Biped Robotics Humanoid Robot is a great introduction to robotics. This drop includes the robot (which stands over a foot tall), the servo motor, a wireless PS2 remote controller, and control board—not to mention all of the hardware needed to assemble the robot. Once you’ve built the humanoid and programmed it using the graphical programming interface, you will be able to freely control it with the remote control. The arms, head, and shoulders offer two degrees of freedom, the legs four, and the feet one—giving you total control over it. Made with a hard aluminum shell, it features a 32-channel servo drive plate. Use it to mess around with programmability or enter it into your next robot dance-off.
