syn-ec-do-cheGenerally I'd agree, but different compounds/materials break down differently. I have a rubber band bracelet that is barely two years old and is crumbling to bits from just sitting on my desk, haha. I'd hate to have to potentially deal with that in my keyboard. Right now I just have a $2 bag of little hair bands that do the trick well, but at the first sign of trouble I'm putting money into a good product like what's offered here. It's a worn adage, but you definitely get what you pay for in a lot of cases.
