Because you can’t bring your favorite armchair on the trail, there’s the Crazy Creek Air Chair Compact. This versatile, lightweight chair features an internal air pad (manufactured by Klymit) that allows you to adjust the seat’s firmness for maximum comfort every time. The pad inflates to provide up to 2 inches of cushioning, while the coated ripstop nylon shell offers a durable, easy-to-clean seal from water and dirt. Flat carbon fiber stays provide structure without much weight. Great for camping, boating, and game day, each chair has a recommended capacity of 250 pounds, and rolls up to a 3-inch diameter when not in use. Hardcore ultralighters can use the inflatable pad as a minimalist sleeping pad, alone or in conjunction with a full-length foam pad.
Note: This drop is for the Air Chair Compact in Black/Royal Blue.
Longtime backpacker Rob Hart founded Crazy Creek in 1987, in a small basement at the foot of the Beartooth Mountains in Red Lodge, Montana. Having spent too many rest breaks on fallen logs and tree stumps, Rob set out to make a portable, durable, comfortable chair for the outdoors. His first designs were inspired by an old wood canoe chair his grandfather had used on camping trips, and improved upon in countless prototypes, with a focus on quality materials and workmanship. Today, still based in Red Lodge, the company produces a full line of chairs and accessories.
