Why was this cancelled without notice?

It is not quite an etch either. In the example you showed the etch is deep which it needs to be to best show the vibrant color. Looking at these there is no obvious material removal. And a simple laser pass would not produce such a vibrant white legend, it would be grayish or muddy white. I think it is an inverse dye sub, but not sure what the black inside means, it is very odd type of sub. I will let it go it just is very interesting and not standard.

Umm, have to ask how can these be dye sublimated white on black? That can't be right unless there is a new dye sublimation process that allow lighter colors on darks, which would be cool but I dont think so.

Agree that seems likely. The only thing thing that is odd is that you usually dye sub the outsides of the cap. So a white base material inverse dye sub would still be white underneath at the stem and just black outside. Black inside means the cap was submerged in dye which is way odd as this would require something applied to protect the legend area from dye, instead of applying a black sublimation around the outside which is way easier.

SunshineRaglol yeah I wonder....... in the previous keycap set that I talked about they dye the ENTIRE keycap black, then laser etched out the letters. So it basically removed the black outside layer and reveal the inside color which becomes the letter (which is blue on the inside since they used blue keycaps as base). Oh I found it, it's EDRUG MIX keycap set. They have since renamed itself to MDA profile (as oppose to MIX). https://imgur.com/a/p8Yb8 Here's someone else's picture, but the one in the middle is the one I'm talking about. :)

Not the first (and likely also not the last) time that Massdrop fails to include an image that showcases all the 129 caps that are in this set. How does this still happen?

EnneaIt's the same as the other Artifact Bloom kitting. I was curious as well about the Orcamarine set they announced yesterday as it was only pics of the board (TKL Layout). They confirmed it was.
