Founded by enterprising bootmaker Arthur Barker, Barker Shoes was born in a small cottage in Northamptonshire, England, nearly 140 years ago. The company went on to supply the British army with boots during the First World War, expand its line of fine footwear, and enter new markets as Arthur’s three sons joined the family business. Today, Barker Shoes maintains its commitment to quality materials and craftsmanship, producing about 200,000 pairs of hand-lasted sewn shoes each year.
