Called “the rare trifecta—light, livable, and affordable” by Backpacker Magazine, the Big Sky Soul two-person tent is designed to keep you comfy when conditions turn rainy and wet. Coupled with the all-mesh interior walls, the double-wall construction prevents condensation build-up, while the pole-clip design makes for fast, easy setup and teardown. No stakes or pegs are required (even the top-vented vestibule attaches directly to the pole legs), though some users may choose to add them for extra support. Camping solo? Try the one-person tent instead.
Note: At checkout, you’ll have your choice between the Big Sky Soul 2 (base price) and the Big Sky Soul 1 (- $30). Both tents come with a 8-piece stake kit in a mesh stake bag. This drop is limited to 100 units.
The fly is made from SuprSil UL fabric, silicone-coated on both sides for extra strength, while the floor is seam-taped and polyurethane-coated 40D nylon. Complete with a large front door and an interior organization pocket, the Big Sky Soul is totally enclosed against mosquitoes and other pesky visitors—offering an economical way for many three-season backpackers to lighten their load.
This kit includes four Ultra-C 12-centimeter stakes, two Ultra-C 14-centimeter stakes, and two Tube Steak lightweight pegs 15-centimeter pegs packaged in a mesh stake bag. The stakes are made of high-strength aluminum alloy, and together with the bag, weigh a total of just 2.5 ounces.
