Slickest pocket steak knife ever. Looks like "a steak knife" as opposed to "a pocket knife being used too eat a steak". Light slim build makes it disappear in the pocket. The clip holds well, and doesn't snag. It's low profile along with the slim frame presents as a small unobtrusive knife. While the nail nick encourages handling this knife like a gentleman, with the proper motivation it will do whatever is asked of it. The tumbled finish is rugged looking and subdued. This is not a shiny knife. This is a refined EDC tool.

This is a great medium size folder! I thought it was a little expensive for the d2 steel, but have no issues with function or looks of this knife. I actually like it more the more I carry it. Have used for several cutting tasks including prepping vegetables for the bbq. It cuts like a champ, disappears in the pocket and is a little less intimidating opening than my flippers. I like it more and more!

Based on my previous Boker purchases I had high hopes. Based on my previous County Comm purchases I had high expectations. This knife met neither. First, this knife kept falling out of my pocket and I could not figure out why. Turns out the pocket clip is made out of something slightly harder than butter. I removed it to try and bend it back into place. It promptly laughed at my effort and became useless again. Second, that D2 steel to hold an edge is only useful if it comes with an edge. Third, I thought nail nick open no big deal, but if you want to use this knife with any reasonable regularity that becomes a chore. Had I not received this direct from Massdrop I would have been convinced I received a counterfeit. Due to Massdrop policy I am stuck having this knife site on display instead of being the workhorse I had hoped. This knife is not good looking enough to stay on a shelf to be looked at, it's presence there reminds me of the failure of buying things through Massdrop.

Good working knife that is reasonably priced
This is an interesting knife that should appeal to those who use fruit knives and other knives this size but as mentioned in a previous comment, it can be used as a personal steak knife without looking out of place. As delivered, the blade is not very sharp. I put an edge on mine with water stones and the D2 steel seems to be good quality. I later put an 18 degree edge on it with a Wicked Edge and it is now polished with a razor-sharp edge. I have not used it enough to determine how long the edge will hold but D2 is generally pretty durable. Having a Ti frame makes this knife lighter and stronger than other knives this size. At this price point, this alone makes this a good value because it is nearly impossible to find a well made Ti knife this reasonably priced. Of course, the choice of D2 tool steel is part of the reason that it is at this price and it should be noted that D2 is approximately 11-13% chromium, which makes it "semi-stainless" (14% is the benchmark for stainless steel), so moderate care should be taken to prevent rust. It is a hearty blade and not nearly as rust prone as carbon steel. If you have a need for a knife of this size, it will be hard to find a better value.
