Hailed for its slim profile, ease of carry, and utility, the Boker Plus Urban Trapper is one of the most popular knives in the EDC community. Available exclusively on Massdrop, this blacked-out version features a stealthy aesthetic and a skeletonized frame to minimize weight. The blade is made from VG-10 stainless steel—a high-carbon content steel manufactured in Japan. Covered with matching black coating, the titanium handle features a frame lock to hold the blade securely in place when open.
Note: This drop is limited to 50 units. Due to the sensitive nature of shipping knives internationally, we are able to ship only some of the knives on Massdrop to select countries. It is the responsibility of the buyer to know and comply with all importation regulations and local laws. Click here for additional information.
Designed by Florida-based knifemaker Brad Zinker, a voting member of the Knifemakers Guild, the Urban Trapper features a 3.5-inch blade, which is slim enough to get into tight spaces, but strong enough to handle demanding tasks. Outfitted with the IKBS (Ikoma Korth Bearing System), the knife deploys quickly and smoothly with a simple press on the flipper tab. And at less than 2 ounces, it goes virtually unnoticed in the pocket. A pocket clip, also black on this version, enables convenient tip-up carry.
Invented in 2002 by knifemaker Flavio Ikoma and Rick Lala of Korth, the Ikoma Korth Bearing System revolutionized the opening mechanism of many EDC folders. The system features a ring of ball bearings arranged in a small groove around a pivot bar that's held in place with washers, eliminating blade play and allowing a smooth, fast action. Because the small bearings are inexpensive, the system is easy to maintain and replace, unlike many other opening mechanisms.
