Interesting to ponder Zippo's contribution the cumulative number of deaths due to cigarette smoking and lung cancer. Not sure there's quite enough evidence to support a class action suit like the one brought against the cigarette manufacturers years back, but there can be no doubt that Zippo has indirectly sent their fair share of EX-SMOKERS to the big ashtray in the sky--no doubt at all.

I kept mine for a while too, but I eventually let 'em go. If I ever need to start a fire in the future (become an arsonist), I suppose I'll just buy a Bic.

By far my favorite lighter is the classic Zippo. Unfortunately, it has a nasty habit of drying out after a couple weeks of non-use. My favorite modification to bring a Zippo into the 21st Century, add a single/dual/quad butane insert. If this was available as an add-on, it'd be an insta-buy.

No, got some amazon gift cards so I’ll order it off amazon haha. I’m pretty sure I’m saving a grand total of $7 dollars and having to wait an extra month and a half....oh well, part of the fun I guess haha

I love Zippo's lighters, I've the 1932 and 1936 Replicas and I used them all the time... This one has complete my collection, looking for the 1934 Replica...

Bull. The Zippos that are actually made from copper alloy and not just plated with copper go for $50+ all day long on ebay. The real ones have "copper" stamped onto the bottom.

I have a copper alloy Zippo, brass is just another word for copper alloy. Date mark is XVI, so 2000. Cost me $20 AUD new. Sell for about $10 any day of the week. They did stamp "copper" some of them in the upper left corner, but even those ones are just alloy, like a copper coin. They're easy enough to come by, any only a spendthrift pays $50.

I’m glad I looked here; I was about to pay more on this drop than I did for the same lighter on Amazon!

I was really excited to see this one pop up in my feed, but as others have pointed out in the past, this price is basically the same as you can find on Amazon. Factor in the shipping cost here versus free shipping with Prime, and you're actually paying more via Massdrop, with a longer shipping delay. Thank you, but no thanks! If you can get the price at or under $10 with FREE shipping, I'll happily buy 4 or 5 of them :)

When I was in my early 20s, they used to give these away at the bars every weekend. I have one in my kitchen, camping bag, in each of my vehicles, and carry one everyday. If I dig through some old boxes I probably 3 or 4 of the brass ones and 8 or 9 stainless steel ones. I have never had one break on me, but I have misplace a lot of them in the last 20 years.
