Founded in 1956, Carrera takes its name from the Carrera Panamericana: a border-to-border sedan and sports car race in Mexico. The company started out making motorcycle goggles and other sports accessories, later focusing its lineup on more fashion-minded eyewear. A racing-inspired aviator style, the 1005/S sunglasses stand out for their sleek metal frame and full lens shape. The double bridge is bisected by a vertical bar, and the adjustable silicone nose pads provide a comfortable fit on a variety of faces.
