Quick question, if I end up getting this is there a point to having a sound card in my PC, or would I be better off removing it and just using this DAC/Amp?

DJS162A sound card is basically a DAC and possibly Amp inside, everything else is advertisement that the company has pasted on. Stuff like "Surround gaming" or "EAX" are mostly just software that colour the original signal to get a 'different' sound. The only advantage i would say for a sound card is that they usually have output support for 5.1/7.1 speaker system. However if you're in the audiophile world you probably have a reciever for handling large speaker systems.
If you're getting this do not use sound cards with this as you will be using the onboard DAC of the sound card and just using this as an external amp. I would say most likely I would prefer the DAC of the DACmini than the DAC of a sound card.

DeuSCaNoNAwesome, thanks, I did get it for the 7.1 surround stuff a while back, but it's caused more issues than solutions so I've basically been using it in 2.1 mode, might as well upgrade to a better DAC.
