Product Description
You love everything about your keyboard and mechanical switches, except for the overbearing click-clack from the keycaps hitting the bottom. To reduce the noise output from your typing and add in a touch of ergonomic optimization, slide some Cherry MX Rubber O-Rings onto your mechanical keyboard Read More
One of my first mechanical keebs was a corsair (K95?) with cherry blues. I loved the click and still use clickies to this day but on that specific keyboard there was a large amount of .. "echo"? It's hard to describe.
It was a bit tedious to put all of these bad boys on, but once I did the keyboard both sounded less harsh and also sounded way more premium! I still have that board in service for my home office and they're still doing admirably, well over 3 years on at this point.
These will not stop spring ping, please lube your springs :(
Been in use since first purchasing in 2015
Used on 3 different boards and held up being taken on and off
Dampen sound slightly
Soften bottom out slightly
Can make cherry profile caps no longer interfere with north facing leds
One board, from Corsair, with mx speed silvers, had PING on every switch, obviously these didnt help, but maybe avoid that board xD
Been using these on and off various keyboards for the last 6 years and they have held up very well! Definitely recommend it if you want to dampen the clack a bit.
I bought these in May 2017 and installed them immediately. They did their job very well, dampening the noise the keyboard makes. However, after about 3 years the keys started to creak. I was able to trace this back to the o-rings. Installing new ones (I ordered 2 packs) got rid of that creaking entirely. The rings were kept in their plastic bag and protected from light so they seem to have held up very well.
These do work fine. They dampen out the sound a bit. These would work quite well on low profile keycaps like the GRID keycaps from RAMA. On taller profiles like SA, MT3 I didn't see much of a difference.
