Designed by Elijah Isham, the CIVIVI Mckenna slips into a pocket effortlessly and goes practically unnoticed on the go. However, when it’s time to open a box, cut a package, or slice some fruit, it’s at the ready Read More
I own 3 front flippers (rs metamorph g5, boker exskelibur 1 decade, kizer fiest) and like them quite a bit and are fun to fidget with. The fiest is smaller also like the mckenna and they all flip nice so ive been eyeing the mckenna. I own a few civivis and love them. Excellent value. I was hoping the drop would have the new raindrop damascus version debuted at bladeshow so i was holding out but it has just now hit the market apparently after . I found availability at WMK just now and with code LTK i snatched one up for 80 and change! The new civivi Damascus offerings are still affordable, have good reviews, and I expect they are just as excellent. Their site has pics of all the models in dam. Hopefully drop will offer these as an option on future civivi drops and at a discounted price.
Just got mine, it's definitely a nice little knife. Fit and finish is good overall, action is smooth and snappy. Detent is a little on the weak side, can be whipped open, but it's strong enough for real solid opening.
Looks like I'll be able to adjust it to let the ball sit deeper, will know for sure once I open it up.
This is really an easy one to front flip, compared to only a couple others I've tried.
For G10 and D2, and it's size, i think it could've fit nicely in the $40-50 knife range.
I'm not mad at paying ~$61 elsewhere, but wouldn't have been very happy at $68 with a month wait *shrugs*
I bought this tiny little thing - a twosun front flipper. I don't recommend it, but it was a real challenge to open and close. I'm good with it now. I had to modify the pass through for the frame lock (with a round file). I also had to modify the carry clip - it was bordering on unusable; now it's better but still limited to thinner material. Also can't put a lanyard on it - knives this small really need a lanyard. But it was cheap, now it's useful, and it was a good learning knife for front flipping and closing. I'm pretty sure I can front flip anything now.
KizerLol YES! That is one of the couple other front flippers I own. Talk about an awkward flip!!
But with a fair amount of practice, finally got it down good
I don't know about this front flipper thing. Do I want my flipper in front? Maybe it's easier to get to that way. And another thing, the blade is under 3". It's a great shape, but quite diminutive for my EDC likes. It's good to have a bigger blade.
$61.20 shipped at whitemountainknives.com with coupon code LTK
Once again, not even close to the most generic discount here, from a brand you've done so much business with *shaking head and going back over to WMK to continue shopping*
Luckily, i like the Bestechs 😉👍
Yeah, I'm just baffled though, that they get ZERO discount on anything from WE, more so than any of the other non-discounts, considering all the business they do on the colabs.
And don't say "MAP restrictions", because we all know you can get around those if you want to, without breaking any rules
KavikWell, i should've had this in my hand today, to give you guys a mini review before the sale here was over...but post office screwed up, had it in my city list night, then shipped it out to a different post office 25 miles away this morning 🙄
So this is the same price as blade hq and knifecenter. Will it get any lower? 🤗 It looks like a wonderful knife, just hard to pay close to Civivi's other higher end blades.
BonzerwolfThank you both, unfortunately no reason to get it here with the wait time and price. Less than $62 delivered is a steal, only issue was some colors were sold out.
