Drop is selling it for $33 +tax/shipping if applicable. No estimates on when it would be in your hands. Numerous (six) eBay sellers will put it in your hands within two weeks for under $32 plus tax if applicable. Shipping no charge. Drop is definitely aware how ridiculous their model is. Some of you are STILL buying enough for them to see no reason to change.

Substitute Australia as your destination and every point Bobraz makes is just as relevant, not counting the ridiculously long shipping time. No retailer out there can beat Drops affordable international shipping rates. When it comes to being consumers you bloody Yanks don't know how good you have it...says I, a Yank expat in a sunburt land.

The dogs, man, the dogs! They are so costly to feed, drives the shipping costs to the stratosphere!

I placed my order on Black Friday. It is now January 9th and still no shipping confirmation. I contacted Drop customer service. They apologized and offered to cancel the order. I declined and told them that I just wanted the item. I was told that: "Because of how most runs are structured, we depend on our vendors/suppliers to send out products on the agreed upon time. While in the majority of cases this works out, delays on a given run or shipment can happen for a number of reasons... due to the set up of our system there is nothing more I can do as we don't have any inventory to send a replacement." This is very frustrating. I've been a customer here for about a year. This is the third time I've had a problem using Drop. I don't know that I'm ready to bail but on products like this one that are available elsewhere, I'm now likely to go elsewhere.

ChronovoreI probably should have updated this sooner but I forgot. I did get the item and it is pretty nice for the price. Massdrop gave me a $5 credit for my trouble here. I've ordered a few things since and so far, so good.
I just received mine today. The good news is that I am very impressed with this knife. I've never had a daily carry that was so well engineered. Hopefully it holds up. The bad news, is that I agree with a lot of the comments below. My 1st impression is that DROP kinda sucks. No email to say the shipment would be delayed, when I emailed them they took forever to respond, then I sort of got this auto-response. I pushed harder and they just kept sending me the same message. When I said I wanted my money back they said that wasn't possible. Never got any satisfaction. I was about to contact the Consumer Affairs Division when I get the shipping notification. I've got another knife coming in March. We'll see how that one goes...
Well agreed, but I wrote the critical post in January about an order from the previous year.

GreenMountainGoatUnderstood; to be honest normally Drop provides a way better experience than what you had. I've bought loads of stuff on Drop throughout the years (you can go to my profile's "Products" page to see what I bought) and 99% of the time it has been flawless. Also, every time I contacted their support via the "My Transactions" page, I have had quick response within a day. I guess you've been unlucky with this experience... I don't have any explanations and I'm not trying to defend them since I have no vested interest in all of this, but all I was trying to say is that Drop does not necessarily suck in all of its entirety, based on one bad purchase. It could have happened to anyone.

I wish they would’ve skeletonized the liners to reduce weight. 5.3oz is kinda heavy.

reswrightIt's a nice looking knife. It's not something I'm going to personally pick up, but a fair number of people I know really like my Crux, but balk at the cost. This looks quite similar in design and ergonomics. I might point them this way.

Still no ship date, no response to my requests or explanations . Communicating with these folks has become an exercise in frustration. I have informed drop that I am canceling the order and requested a full refund.

All I am getting is "we apologize, we are looking into it", I have canceled my order. Sucks, this was to be a Christmas gift, I had one of these knives in my collection, gave it as a gift, now I don't have one.

Has anyone received shipping confirmation (or their order), as of December 28th?

RocknRealtorNo. I placed my order here on Black Friday. It is now after Christmas and it still says "order placed with the vendor". I've used Drop before but this is unusual. This feels more like orders I've placed with Chinese companies via AliExpress...
