There has been many complaints about this product and I don't think it really deserves as much criticism as it does. Mine was close to perfect. Assembly was a breeze the quality is premium, and I had no issues with hole sizes. The wood finish is great. So far, I haven't been able to get the wood finish to come off. It looks nice on my desk and does what it's supposed to. No complaints from a happy customer, although take this with a grain of salt as numerous others have complained about quality control.
As a side note, it's perfect for HD6XX and HD650s because of the groove in their headbands.

b_sandI can assure you the one that I received was absolute junk, with multiple fatal problems. I'm happy that there were functional units delivered. That takes some indictment away from Massdrop, but the fact remains that the ones shipped in my batch should have never cleared the factory, and I think it's crazy that Massdrop continues to do business with this company

chengdiggerDid you receive yours in the latest drop or the one before? Mine was the latest drop so they might have stepped up their QC. It's disappointing to see so many people receiving flunks because I really like this product.

b_sandI got 2 but only 1 was capable of brin assembled. As with others, that one had improperly placed holes and they were te wrong size. I like the one that worked out though.
