Yeah I had read reviews and watched videos so I knew what is coming but when I opened the package I still laughed man this us a big knife. I commonly refer this as my foldable kitchen knife as it can perfectly be used as a kichen knife for it chungusness. for the price I bought it five out of five works perfectly in my car as if we want to cut some food while out it would play nicely and would be a perfect tool to intimidate if threatened. also very satisfying to open and close
The sheer size of this thing is hilarious, but it's still a very well built and functional knife. I love Cold Steel's knives and own several others, and this fits right in. It's a lot of knife for the price, whether you get the 4" or the 6", it's really hard to go wrong.
Have had the 4 inch for over a year and find it a damn good EDC for the price point. I have a wide hand and long fingers (6'9") and appreciate the width to the handle, but its definitely not a subtle carry. Belt clip is secure enough for jeans pocket, though it sticks out a fair ways from a pocket-watch pocket. Its not as hefty as its length would suggest; has a blade width similar to my other EDCs, but less depth blade-to-back. Handle is also light. I appreciate the locking tab: it's sturdy enough that I am unable to force the knife closed (tried safely for evaluation). If you want a longer folder capable of delicate cutting, this will work. Also makes a handy steak-knife substitute.
The large knife is definitely a novelty knife. I'd never take this blade outside with me as it's the size of a small sword. However if you have an extra $44 and want a comically sized knife, it's worth it. Also, it comes out of the box quite sharp and opening the knife is very smooth. I'm sure the smaller version is worth it as an EDC knife.
Other knives in picture for comparison.
Well, as someone else wrote, I was really surprised by the size of this beast. It is a great tool in my camping supplies but is not something that I will carry in my pocket. It deploys well and feels good in the hand.
