If I were worried about stashing bullets I would buy a regular, padlockable ammo box with an O-ring, for $10 or so. The only use case I can think of where this little doohickey would be preferable is if you were trying to conceal a small cache of something in a small hidden spot, like on a rafter beam or within a piece of furniture, but you were still worried about moisture getting in, or a tell tale odor getting out. That's probably more of a use case for hiding drugs than bullets though. As far as EDC? It's not of a size to be concealed in a pocket.

But we're talking about the fact that someone made a container that can hold 15 rounds of ammo. Pointless, when you can just hold said rounds in a magazine. Technically, the US government had these items made for an unknown purpose, as per the Countycomm page at https://countycomm.com/products/cage-dive-capsule. They just bought leftover stock the government wasn't going to use and are reselling it as a small multipurpose storage thing. Curiously, while the CountryComm website also shows the picture with the bullets inside, their ad copy doesn't list ammo or anything like it among the list of possible uses. From the site: Perfect for CR123 Batteries, Cash, First Aid & More The Grip Capsule Storage Vault  (Waterproof) is a versatile ribbed multi use container for all you EDC needs. The original Government use is unknown for this product. We have a very limited overrun of the Grip Capsule Storage Vault (Waterproof). We are not quite sure what Uncle Sam is putting in his lightweight Delrin® capsules, but we are using ours to keep small important items close and secure. Brand new, never used, overrun from government contract. Cage : 5VKB6

BTW, if you're wondering why it says 'not for food storage' most of the CountyComm reviews cite a strong, unpleasant fishy odor, and if you read the MSDS on Delrin you can see why that might be so: it's full of formaldehyde. https://www.alro.com/dataPDF/Plastics/PlasticsMSDS/MSDS_Delrin.pdf And the DuPont literature on Delrin references 'unconfirmed reports of human sensitization' which is how one says 'it might have made some people sick but no one followed up because nothing really made us do so'. Your humble narrator elects to pass. :)
