bloggerstomperThe Obake for $18.99 is no longer up, I purchased mine 2 months ago for $34.49. I did however just see some on Amazon for $24.80. Dont get me wrong, I love Massdrop and they have always taken care of any product issues fairly and promptly. I just "shop around " a little more before pulling the trigger regarding purchasing something on Massdrop since this particular incident. And in hind sight it's my fault for not always researching other available prices on any items purchased online, there's just so many options out there. Anyway, I hope you enjoy the CRKT Obake. I surely do and to be honest, it's worth $34.49 to me so no harm no foul. Enjoy your weekend....

I am incredibly underwhelmed by this blade.
It's more like a letter opener than a knife I would use for any real world task.
The pattern on the blade looks like some kind of coating than beIng the actual material the blade is made from.
This is definitely a knife for someone with small hands, my giant meat hooks make it look extra small.
RedMendezI have lost two wearing them on the shoulder strap of my pack. When the sheath gets warm, it does not hold well at all. So, if you find yourself in rougher terrain, keep an eye out. Love it otherwise.
For the $ this is a great little fixed blade, the only issue that I would give it is thst It would be real easy for your hand to slip and wind up cutting yourself, but that’s more of the knife design vs this particular knife failing in some way, just something I didn’t really think about untill I got it, because of how small it is and how big my hands are even a small slip would lead me to cutting my hand. As far as quality tho it’s above what I expected.
MotorcityschmidtyThe sheath also would not lend itself to a neck knife. When it warms up, it does not hold good. I have lost two because of that issue. Fell out of sheath on trail.
