I thought it was great! The shipping date worked out for me because I was working on a new setup that wouldnt be finished until it came in, but i get it. I'm like whatever about it cause ehh it is what it is. I was beyond satisfied with the product I want it to be on my desk for a while that being said anyone have any cleaning tips?
WaddelsI got some hot cheetos dust on mine recently lol. I was able to clean it by mixing a little dish soap and water on a paper towel, and rubbing it in circles on the desk mat. Looks like new again!
Good news everyone its on their website and I just got mine in grey make sure to go for "A Stock" or what ever for the standard quality there is. "B stock" and "Misprints" which are the same mats but with different levels of defects/errors it is explained before you reach checkout; each stock being tied to a price point determined by its defects/errors. Standard (A Stock) is priced at $25 USD double check your purchase before finalizing it cause you don't wanna get screwed over with a miss-click. Here is a link directly to this specific Dixie Mech product view and purchase area in their website. https://dixiemech.store/collections/frontpage/products/meka-mats?variant=16461909917770
Side note: Yes your mat will pungently smell like a carpet (not the good clean smell) for about 3 to 4 days and it lowers to the point where your nose will have to be really close to it to notice. Goes away just by using it over time; to clean if it gets dirty use a lightly damp microfiber cloth (like what you use for glasses), light spray using a small mister bottle filled with water if it dries out and you need a bit extra, and a bit of baking soda. Spray water mainly on the microfiber cloth a a tiny bit on the mat and top off wet spot of mat that you sprayed with baking soda. Rub it in and wipe off excess, continue rubbing spot till stain is gone (if you need to clean more repeat steps but) do not over scrub once clean could cause irreversible decoloring/ect. Once clean you'll see a damp mark without your stain to confirm its removed, leave it to air dry do not use heat could cause warping and/or decoloring/ect. Take it from me as i had to do this on the first day I received it due to my own errors (pretzel bites with melted cheese) this is just how I cleaned it (different techniques may serve better so I'm not responsible if you mess up). Stains are especially visible with the Grey mouse mat color so you definitely don't wanna mess it up. Luckily for me it came out but I and others may not be fortunate with the other forms of stains next time so do the favor for yourself and don't eat on your cool mouse mat you'll thank yourself the longer you have it clean.
So I just got mine today. The bottom edge is really uneven, and the gray actually kind of has a greenish tint to it (can't really tell in the photo). Otherwise the mat looks and feels great.
