Also are any special caps for these switches? Meaning like would my normal drop keycaps fit over thes3 block tops?

Debian10They are still regular cherry mx mount switches so yes any keycap sets that are mx compatible will work with these. the stems just look different as these are kail box switch design.

So evidently they produced 5-pin switches instead of the 3-pin switches that are compatible with Drop's hot swappable keyboards... I think that's the reason why they're cancelling the orders.

Yes, they are 5-pin. Easy enough to remove the pins with a sturdy pair of fingernail clippers. Just takes a little bit of time.

How would it be fraud? They were originally making 3 pin switches, that's what they had the initial offering as. You were buying a 3 pin switch (plate mount not pcb mount). Then at some point before they shipped, the product was changed from 3 pin to 5 pin. Going through with sending 5 pin switches when people ordered 3 pin switches would be an issue, because they wouldve sent a different product than asked for and it wouldve cost them even more since they'd probably have to refund the orders AFTER shipping the product out. So instead of doing that they cancelled the 3 pin version orders updated the listing to show the change. Not sure how this would be fraud. It's a different product and uses a different mold and more plastic, thus costs more money.

DuctTapeIsSilverI do not think it is fraud but it is definitely s***ty execution. That is why I went with another option. I decided not to waste my time with this product at all or how being handled.

What board would you but these in to see them? I don't get the point of paying an extra .50-.75 cents for colorways you can't see.
