The Massdrop ALT High-Profile is just like the original ALT, but now it comes with a tall CNC-aluminum case that covers the switches. Machined at a 6-degree angle, the case is ergonomically crafted for a natural feel Read More
I couldn't be happier with this board. It's solid, has a good weight, and a smooth finish that seems very durable so far. The hotswap is a nice feature as well. I can solder, but it's a bonus not having to. I know the stabs are garbage, but if you're buying a barebones board, who cares. Just buy better stabs.
I already have low profile ALT, but this High prof is much much much better than low. I like this heavy weight. Actually It's lighter than other expensive alu keyboard including brass weight, but it look good and competitive.
I bought a black one and I am now thinking about buying gray more. I really recommend this High profile, Don’t waste your money on Low profile.
p.s. Do not waste time to use the stock stabilizers. throw it away.
I just recieved my Drop alt today and have found that several of the keys don't work , I've tried using different switches and it still did not work? I would love to not return this but as I am a new the keyboard world I don't know what else to do.
Just received my alt keyboard the yesterday, after assembly the whole row of "qwerty" does not work correctly. while pressing "tab" it will ouput "qwerty" and if I press "y" it will output "yuiop", pressing anything else in that same row of keys will result in multiple keys in the same row being pressed. I have flashed a default configuration on and reset the board and nothing fixes it. Using a keyboard test online it verifies that pressing anything on the same row will output multiple keystrokes of the same row. Contacted customer service about it and now I am waiting on their response to fix this issue. While I wait on a response does anyone else have any experience or the same issue?
The Drop CTRL keyboards are absolutely terrible. Sound like crap, I get double registries and no registries all the time. Just Horrible, nearly threw it out of the window. The fact that they are asking 200 USD for a 3 pin Hotswap keyboard show how out of touch these guys are. What a shame. I wont touch a Drop keyboard anytime soon, especially now while we have great alternatives that are better build for same price or even cheaper.
Zafer94It used to be an okish board for beginners but with the GMMK Pro right around the corner there is no reason to buy this anymore it is better in every way.
RonakThat board is also a shitter, but yes much better than Drop keebs. I have a Voice65 now, Juts have to put it together. Idobao80 is also a better alternative or the kbd keyboards
I have recently purchased this barebones keyboard, used the firmware and now the keys "3" "R" and "K" don't work. Any possible fix, or do I have to reset the keyboard or send it back?
