Is there any way to purchase spare parts for this flashlight?
I had a battery leak and it broke the power button side of the flashlight. I have two of these flashlights so was able to isolate the issue to the button only by swapping parts.
The small button PCB appears fine on the sealed/button side, but the side with the spring that is exposed to the battery compartment is completely corroded. There is a small exposed IC right under the battery contact spring which is toast, and the PCB traces are ruined.
If anyone sees this I recommend using some kind of conformal coating on the exposed PCB so that if you have a battery leak your flashlight won't die.
Firstly, I love the value of this little flash light. Everything about it has been great! Unfortunately though, it must have it's flaws. I have had mine for a month now maybe and I guess I made the mistake of putting the back end between my lips as I needed to use both hands and the light. (No, I did not suck on the end of it...) And that seemed to be enough moisture or something to kill the capacitors or whatever it is in the button end and the light wont turn on now. Batteries are brand new and used brass version button end on and that works. It seemed like there was some gunk in the button end which I was able to get out with some compressed air and a q tip. Still won't light. Anyone have any ideas? Was thinking rubbing alcohol (like 98-99%) and see if there's still something in there. Let me know!
Love at first light.
Just received the Cu Tool w Nichia, on the right.

These lights just make me smile. This is an excellent run. The knurling is nice and deep. The tint of the Nichia is very nice. The switch button has good feel and bounce. The copper is just classic.
With the addition of the fully captive preon 2 clip, this light becomes more secure, and elegant.
I would like to suggest:
A trit slot in the tail would make it a Total Package.
I now have 8 of these AAAs, one in titanium, one in brass and six in copper, so far I have only once had a problem with an e-switch that no longer worked. All the others have been working without problems for over two years and I use a different tool every day as my daily companion. By the way, 6 of the flashlights are converted to other LEDs, so I am spoilt for choice concerning the light color every day :-)
As a replacement for the defective e-switch I wrote to Lumintop and got there for $5 a Tool Ti Tailcap as replacement, the conversion to the Copper Tailcap was absolutely simple.
As you can see I am a big fan of these small flashlights because they are easy to handle, have enough brightness, the Eneloop batteries last very long, the flashlights are very solid and they look very noble.

I had bought the box somewhere on the internet, I think it was at Banggood or Ebay and then built the inner partitions together with some wooden strips, that was all :-)
Thanks for the nice comments!
I ordered mine around the first of the year. It doesn’t work on anything but medium power now. Is there any warranty with this light or am I just stuck with it? Thanks
I bought mine when they first came out a little more than a year and a half ago. The patina is awesome. No problems whatsoever. I use mine every night and the light knock down switch continues to work perfectly. I would recommend it to anybody looking for a neat little pocket light.
Bought one when they were out about a year ago and the switch has stopped working. I know it’s the switch because I bought the blue aluminum and the brass one also. When I put the switch from one of these on the copper light it works.
