These lights just make me smile. This is an excellent run. The knurling is nice and deep. The tint of the Nichia is very nice. The switch button has good feel and bounce. The copper is just classic. With the addition of the fully captive preon 2 clip, this light becomes more secure, and elegant. I would like to suggest: A trit slot in the tail would make it a Total Package.

Is there a way to chemically reverse the aging? Any products we can buy as a consumer?

If you just want fresh polished copper color, mix lemon juice and salt. Wipe on, wipe off... done.

I now have 8 of these AAAs, one in titanium, one in brass and six in copper, so far I have only once had a problem with an e-switch that no longer worked. All the others have been working without problems for over two years and I use a different tool every day as my daily companion. By the way, 6 of the flashlights are converted to other LEDs, so I am spoilt for choice concerning the light color every day :-) As a replacement for the defective e-switch I wrote to Lumintop and got there for $5 a Tool Ti Tailcap as replacement, the conversion to the Copper Tailcap was absolutely simple. As you can see I am a big fan of these small flashlights because they are easy to handle, have enough brightness, the Eneloop batteries last very long, the flashlights are very solid and they look very noble.

https://budgetlightforum.com/node/44456 I had bought the box somewhere on the internet, I think it was at Banggood or Ebay and then built the inner partitions together with some wooden strips, that was all :-) Thanks for the nice comments!

I ordered mine around the first of the year. It doesn’t work on anything but medium power now. Is there any warranty with this light or am I just stuck with it? Thanks
Sorry to hear about that, yes just contact our CS team and we'll take care of you.

I bought mine when they first came out a little more than a year and a half ago. The patina is awesome. No problems whatsoever. I use mine every night and the light knock down switch continues to work perfectly. I would recommend it to anybody looking for a neat little pocket light.

Bought one when they were out about a year ago and the switch has stopped working. I know it’s the switch because I bought the blue aluminum and the brass one also. When I put the switch from one of these on the copper light it works.
Sorry to hear about that, if you haven't already send a note in to our CS team so we can get you a replacement.

Best flashlight I've ever had. I have accidentally broken the little clip, how can I order a replacement? Thanks!
I've had one of these, lost it, gave one as a gift, bought a new one - but like the OP, the clip broke. Seems maybe they're a bit brittle? Any way of buying a replacement or pack of 3? Otherwise, awesome addition to EDC.

spare clips are for sale from the guy that sells maratac. you might also ask Lumintop if they can sell spare clips. I like the fully captive clip for the new Preon, available on ebay.

To those who received the cree version instead of Nichia due to warehouse mixup: If you know how to solder, it's easy to replace the LED. You can order a Nichia 219C 4000K 90CRI from Kaidomain for about $4: http://kaidomain.com/Nichia-NVSL219C-R9050-D240-4000k-CRI92-LED-Emitter?search=nichia%20219C Make sure to get it with the 10mm MCPCB option. Use pointy tweezers to unscrew the circuit board from the head of the light to remove the pill, de-solder the LED board, and solder the wires back onto the new one.

Hmmm. I'm not sure I would have bought this had known it was being drop-shipped from China. I thought the stuff on this site was "in hand" if it didn't have a timer counting down. Ah, well. Maybe it will be here by Easter.
