This is probably the heaviest keyboard I have ever bought. Feels great and sturdy for typing and gaming. I love the muted purple tone and the rgb strip goes great with a clear wrist rest.
Love the weight of this board definitely feels premium to me, RGB is very nicely implemented and looks great regardless of colors being used.
Have a few minor complaints, primarily the lack of included foam at this price point when i can get cheaper prebuilts that feel nearly as solid that have it included (other keyboard is a full sized Tecware Phantom+ and that came with a ton of foam/prelubed switches and cost less than half of this barebones kit). The other thing is i feel like at this price it really should accept 5 pin switches. Nothing that cant be addressed easily but i mean. Those are my main gripes.
Otherwise it looks great and with a few mods can sound great too. Added some pre cut foam around the keys and some poron foam under the switches, as well as a mix of Drop Skylight Purple and stock black Tecware key caps and clipped/lubed a set of Kailh Box Royals to fit and im very happy with the result.
If you like a very loud sounding board, then this one stock with definitely do you right. My preferences though, I used a tape mod as well as dampening foam to help the feel and pinging, with a light linear switch for a faster typing experience. Would be cool if it came with a precut foam kit for around the PCB though. Very standout board all in all.
I went for a minimal build on this, no foams and Boba U4 x MT3 Cyber. I don't know when DROP updated their plate mount stabs, but the stabs included couldn't be better. They needed zero tuning. Just a healthy bit of grease on the wire and they came out with zero rattle/tick.
I do have a few complaints - although it's hard to detract any stars given the price. The modern firmware can be finicky - sometimes not even booting from the left USB C. Also the keyboard goes completely whack if left on solid white at full brightness / which is probably a current draw issue. And it's 3 pin only - so I had to clip every switch.
I was building the wife one (nj80) and thought why not lol. Like the colour, slapped some summer v2s in it, swapped out the stabs for lubed TX, violac caps, little bit tingy but some plate foam will fix that I think, overall happy but would have like 5 pin sockets as I did alot of clipping on them summers lol.
I love it but you should know it's really heavy. I wouldn't want to carry it around with me. The color is fantastic and the LEDs are so bright. Everything works great. Finished it with Kaihl copper switches and Artifact Bloom key caps
