Hi everyone, we have an update for you today regarding color matching and production schedule.
For context, this set, along with GMK Mecha-01 before it, has been designed in conjunction with FU11.META1. Color targets and design elements were agreed upon, and color sampling/matching has begun.
In the time since the color matching process started, despite ample time and attempts, we have been unable to make contact with FU11.META1. It is our desire to consult with FU11.META1 for final color approval, but at this point we need to make the final determination and color approval in order to not hold up production any further.
What this means is that our (Drop’s) team of internal keycap designers will review the spectrophotometric results of the blue production samples in particular, measured by GMK and compared against the previously-agreed targets to make the determination to move ahead with the full production run. Color matching is still being conducted with usual levels of diligence, use of proper color-measurement equipment, etc. The yellow color for this set has been approved by FU11.META1 prior to going silent.
Rest assured that we will be approaching this approval process with the utmost levels of thoughtfulness to the design inspiration and carrying the designer’s vision through to reality. HoffmanMysterThis is the first set of keycaps I've ordered from DROP and my first set of GMK caps. Is this common for partners to go silent during a run with you guys? Lastly, how will this effect the shipping date, if at all?

DnATrueshotThis is the first I've heard of it personally, though it might have happened before. As for the ship date, purchasers should have received an email just yesterday noting a few-weeks delay for fulfillment.

Neekolas714To clarify, nothing is ready for shipping at this point. The colors were approved by the designer, but GMK produces the sets in a batch and ships it all out together. So until the whole shipment arrives, nothing will be ready to ship.
